For students to feel success in math, teachers need to feel success in math. At New Math Minds, we believe math is for everyone and success starts with the JOY of math. Let us partner with you to infuse confidence in teachers and students. Student math ownership begins here.

I cannot tell you how many kudos, thank you’s, and positive comments I have heard over the past few days regarding your presentation and the skills teachers plan to take into their classrooms. There is an overwhelming attitude of excitement and enthusiasm about small group math time and I couldn’t be more grateful as a school administrator and mom whose daughter will benefit from this new program.

Thank you! Thank you!

I am incredibly grateful and would recommend your training to anyone who is looking for ways to improve their math approach with students.

Students working in Tier 2 need a hands-on program in a small group. Kickstart is the perfect tool as it is flexible to students, time, and setting. It is scripted so teachers, para-educators, or parent volunteers can lead it. It is based in developmental and brain research, with an ESSA Tier 2 rating, and it is written by teachers for today’s students.

New Math Minds’ Owner and Lead Consultant, Jen Hunt, created and wrote the Kickstart: Number Sense series and co-authored Kickstart: Operations and Kickstart: Fractions with Laura Nelson from MathwaysNW.

MATH INTERVENTION

ONE-ON-ONE COACHING

One of the greatest parts of working for New Math Minds is getting to sit down with teachers one-on-one, hear about their successes and their struggles, and help them build a plan. Whether a train-the-trainer, observations, partner-teaching, or a topic-focused cadre, these sessions build teacher confidence, capacity, and content knowledge, making them ideal leaders in your building.

I heard from several staff members after your observations and feedback that they left “glowing” and “feeling encouraged”. Thank you for helping create buy-in for my team and reminding them that they ARE learning and doing great things!
